Here’s my friends Dorris and John Munro, now in their nineties, taking a break on the trail. It was Dorris who once said, “Visiting White Clay Creek Preserve is about more than just taking a walk; it’s also an opportunity to see something beautiful.” I’ve always found that to be the case in my forty plus years running and walking the trails in the preserve and bleak as the weather has been the last few days, Dorris was right again.
Gary Kirk leads another hike on the backcountry trails in the preserve. Gary is active in Friends of White Clay and The Wilmington Trail Club. He was instrumental in the construction of the the great new bridge completed in August on the PennDel trail.
This beautiful story and accompanying photos of White Clay Creek Preserve and the people who enjoy it immensely, are the antidote to all the negative we see, read, and hear out in the world. Thanks for sharing!
