Newark, Delaware, Part Two: The Constitution, not Donald Trump, is King

On encountering the dramatic presence at the Newark protest of the Trump supporter pictured above, one can’t help but wonder why Americans vote against the blessings of democratic unity for themselves and their fellow citizens in order to benefit the bottom lines of greedy plutocrats, or why they are so dead set on destroying the societal norms that have been so beneficial for the common good, making America the leader of the free world. It’s a dilemma that brought to mind a remembered exchange between the great Indian Hindu mystic and modern prophet, Sri Ramakrishna and one of his students.

“Sire,” the young supplicant asked, “why is there evil in the Universe?”

“To thicken the plot,” replied Ramakrishna.
